Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To ensure all Ooredoo customers have appropriate access to products and services as defined within the marketing plans through: Planning, Design and support implementing Access transmission for sites using a wide range of technologies and to oversee the planning and design of an appropriate transmission for the corporate fixed customers.

Core Responsibilities:

Strategy Planning:
- Undertake Developing the medium and long term strategy of Access Planning
- Undertake Development and ensure the implementation of the AOP
- Undertake the overall strategy of the organisation

Access Planning & Delivery:
- Undertake responsibility for Access Transmission Network design, engineering, network expansion to meet growth and business requirements and conforming to ITU-T standards and meeting the policies and regulations of Telecom Regulators.
- Ensure CAPEX spend is optimized to meet business requirements including OPEX optimization.
- Ensuring all PR are uploaded in the system, follow up on approval and PO are issued on time.
- Ensure timely and cost effective capacity design and planning of transmission network for capacity growth for access networks.
- Undertake the definition of the Transmission Network target architecture; evaluating different topologies and technologies to comply with future capacity, quality and capability needs.
- Ensure Microwave links/VSAT links design conforming to TRA approved frequency channels and bands as well as the prescribed availability and reliability criteria.
- Ensure the requisite planning and engineering documentation to ensure quality, implementation and effective operations.
- Undertake the responsibility of ensuring TRA approval for all VSAT and microwave links.Undertake AOP planning and 3YBP Planning.
- Undertake high and low level designs for the transmission network.
- Undertake the Coordination with Vender/Contractors, acceptance team and network integration of network elements including monitoring systems to ensure the delivery based on standards and in alignment to a plan.

Team Management:
- Ensure the alignment between company strategy and section objectives. Ensure making SMART objectives for the Team KPI.
- Manage the performance of staff through regular performance management, annual appraisals and the provision of coaching and on the job training.
- Ensure all team within the section has a development plan and support them in achieving the plan in order to achieve the highest standards of performance at all time.
- Support employees reporting to him/her understand the policy and follow it.
- Ensure all employees have balance tasks and working with realistic workload.
- Manage employees performance and providing continuous feedback Demonstrate leadership situational style.
- Actively transfer knowledge and experience to team members to raise the level of knowledge and capability within the team.
- Ensuring good communication with other departments, internal and external customers and service providers.
- Reporting any issues and problems to management, making suggestions to optimise work processes.

Requirements

You have minimum a university degree, with minimum of 6 years of experience in Access Network design and implementation. Experience in other Access technologies like FOC,HDSL and Wifi. At last 5 within an Access Network design function and some exposure to team.

- Good understanding of service assurance within a Telco operator (within Operations and Maintenance)
- Fluent in English. Arabic a plus
- Experience in GIS will be Plus
- MS Office fluency
