Employment: Full Time

Job holders at this level perform a wide range of Security and general support duties of a highly responsible and confidential nature; They are normally responsible for identifying and resolving problems. The job holders are required to continuously improve organizational capabilities, processes, procedures, practices, lead a team of technical and non-technical employees to achieve day to day tasks and overall departmental objective, and ensure the section performance is in line with the approved Service Level Agreement and Established Policy and Procedures.

Job holders are also responsible of supervising and monitoring the performance of indirect employees.

Description

Strategy
- Ensuring all staff understand and adhere to the strategic aims of the organization and follow the direction set by the company.
- Strategic planning for security must begin with an analysis of the business.

Operational
- Manage the effective achievement of departmental objectives through the leadership of the department, setting individual objectives, managing staff performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance.
- Plan, Organize and manage team and their day-to-day activities, and prioritize workload to ensure security procedures are implemented and standards are maintained.
- Provide guidance and support to the team, including training and development, and act as a role model within own area of specialisation.
- Identify and secure resources required to maintain operations of the team, and ensure effective resource utilisation and optimization.
- Resolve complex and/or unusual operational and procedural problems.
- Observe confidentiality of procedures to ensure appropriate level of security and control
- To liaise with Royal Oman Police on all security matters pertaining to the company.
- To conduct daily security checks on company premises.
- To carry out spot checks on wrongly parked vehicles on all company premises.
- To coordinate and follow up with maintenance department or assigned vendor to repair security equipments such as barriers and security surveillance cameras.
- Handling of company security key system and maintain proper record.
- Conduct security survey on monthly basis on all company matters of Staff.
- To liaise with Department/Section heads on all industrial security matters.
- Responsible of issuing vehicle passes into the refinery.
- Responsible for issuance of passes for company or contractors on material removal from the refinery.
- Maintain records on all company’s security equipment and materials.
- To coordinate with Security Clerk on the issuance of various passes to the company.
- Participate in emergency activities as a member.
- Coordinate with third part on security matters regarding the guards’ issues and monitor their activities on daily bases.

Health, Safety, Security and Environment
- Monitoring security compliance with the organization’s HSE policies and procedures among employees, contractors, alliances, other third parties and liaising concern issues to dedicated authorities

Requirements

- A security supervisor must have experience as a security guard, police officer or military police.
- Training and experience working with electronic monitoring systems.
- Minimum experience required is 5 – 7 years within the administrative function preferably within oil industry.
- Having 2 -3 years supervisory experience.
