Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As a Business Tax Services Associate, you'll combine strong technical skills with practical commercial, legislative and industry knowledge to provide tailored advice to your clients and to build valued relationships with them and your internal peers. You'll combine our standard global compliance process and tools with your extensive local compliance and accounting experience to provide clients visibility and control of their domestic and/or global compliance and reporting requirements. You'll create, lead and motivate high-performing teams and help staff members build their skills. You'll also be responsible for managing the economics of the engagement as well as adherence to our Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) guidelines.

Client responsibilities:
- Lead engagements
- Plan, prepare and review deliverables in various forms, including written reports, presentations and discussions with clients, teams and other parties.
- Communicate significant issues, fees and estimates-to-complete to clients
- Leverage client relationships and external network to drive new business opportunities
- Understand our service offerings and proactively identify opportunities to serve clients
- Build strong internal relationships

People responsibilities:
- Help people to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring all levels of staff
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for all levels of staff
- Drive people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training our staff
- Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis
- Understand, follow and communicate workplace policies and procedures to all levels of staff

Technical skills requirements:
- In-depth commercial, legislative and industry knowledge
- Ability to apply our global compliance process and tools
- Ability to apply Q&RM procedures
- Relevant public accounting or industry experience
- Accounting and/or legal qualification

Requirements

- Qualified CA/ ACCA/ CPA with minimum 2 years plus post qualification Direct/ Corporate Tax experience (major) with a BIG4 is MANDATORY.
- Should have major Big4 working experience.

Other skills/competencies:
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Spoken and written Arabic an advantage
