Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Managing all Mechanical aspects at different stages of Project until completion
- Necessary coordination with FEED Consultant, Licensors and EPC Contractors in the Mechanical engineering field including the provision of necessary inputs, review of Design basis / Philosophies etc
- Review of engineering deliverables at FEED & EPC stage of project viz. Specifications, Equipment Layout, Equipment Data Sheet, 3D Model, Piping Plan & Isometrics, Equipment drawings etc.
- Review progress of work activities with respect to plan and ensure timely compliance, follow-up & remedial measures
- Interact & involve and seek views from end user function as and when applicable including third parties
- Prepares documents such as presentation materials for the meetings; preparation of minutes of meeting and following up on results of such meetings etc
- Construction supervision and management of all mechanical activities including equipment installation, piping fabrication/installation/testing, heavy lifts, transportation plans, HSE aspects etc.
- Ensuring quality of the mechanical engineering deliverables, equipment during manufacturing / installation, piping fabrication/installation, testing, pre-comm & commissioning etc.
- Keep requisite documentation/records w.r.t. activities at various stages of project, produce reports and suggest improvements
- Should be able to develop and train Omani Nationals
- Motivates and inspires subordinates, harness their energies and efforts to get things done, leads by example and serves as appropriate role model.

Requirements

- University degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant experience in refinery/petrochemical for Engineer – 3 years for Omani candidate and 8 years for Non-Omani candidate
- Relevant experience in refinery/petrochemical for Senior Engineer - 5 years for Omani candidate and 12 years for Non-Omani candidate
- Knowledge of MS Office applications / discipline related software
- Experience in monitoring and coordinating activities of Consultants and EPC contractors
- Fully conversant with international / local codes, standards and statutory regulations connected with the discipline

Leadership and Interpersonal:
- Proven effectiveness in analysis execution, delivering results, promotion of team work required • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer orientation

Language:
- English (fluent) required, Arabic is advantageous.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:
- Existing full-time employee of ORPC, AOL and OPP
