Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Performing Conceptual Studies including options identification, screening, evaluation and selection.
- Coordinating, supervising, developing and approving Front End Engineering Design (FEED) activities and deliverables including design basis, philosophies, Heat & Material Balances, Hydraulic and transient analysis, Process Flow Diagrams/Schemes (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), equipment sizing, flare, blowdown & relief calculations and studies, etc.
- Review and approved operation manuals & commissioning procedures , process engineering related documentation and drawings proposed by the EPC Contractors in conformity with the contractual technical specifications and applicable code & standard.
- Coordinating, supervising and approving other 3rd Party activities, e.g. Availability studies, Quantitative Risk Assessment studies.
- Participating, closing action items and approving reports from HEMP activities such as HAZID, Design Review, HAZOP, SIL Classification reviews report and close-out report.
- Development of local young engineers and providing development programs.
- Develop and train Omani nationals assigned to the project.

Requirements

- University B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering or similar role.
- 10 years relevant experiences leading multidisciplinary teams on a Mega Projects within Oil & Gas and Petrochemical/Refinery
- Professional qualification is an advantage
- PDO and gas plant/pipeline experience will be an advantage

Technical and Business:
- Skilled in HYSIS, PIPESIM, OLGA, TGNET, TLNET, FLARENET and other process Software.
- Good knowledge in gas processing & extraction and awareness in downstream gas based petrochemical industry and gas sweetening.
- Good conceptual and analytical skills.
- Sound knowledge of project economics and evaluation principles.
- Able to organize design reviews and HAZOP review including provide all relevant documentation i.e. Info pack, etc.

- Proven ability to align, motivate and develop people across multiple disciplines and levels
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results on-time in field of expertise
- Demonstrated ability to work in multi-cultural, high pressure team environment
- Demonstrated non-authoritative ability to influence peers
- Capable to work with multiple systems relevant to plan and execute work
- Proven effectiveness in analysis execution and delivering results
