Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Role Purpose: Works as a key member of the Polymer Marketing team and is responsible for pricing / sales planning & booking / handling channel partners. He is also responsible for formulation & implementation of sales strategies, preparing MIS reports.

Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure the achievement of sales/ Gross Margin targets.
- Recommend prices to the PMM( Polymer marketing Manager) on a monthly basis for booking material.
- Supply inputs based on Material Balance for preparation of Monthly Production Plan.
- Handle all the routine activities related to the Off-taker ( LGI).
- Maintain month-end inventory within targeted levels in conjunction with Logistics specialist.
- Generate MIS reports on a monthly basis.
- Provide inputs for formulation of sales strategy

Key Performance Indicators:
- Gross Margins
- Balancing Sales Bookings & Inventory
- Off-taker activities/documentation/ Netbacks
- Strategy Formulation
- MIS reports

Decision Making Authority:
- May take decisions on behalf of the PMM when he is on leave.
- Decide on grades/quantity to be produced every month
- Allocation of quantity to Off-taker based on targets given by FH

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise functioning of the department in the absence of the PMM

Communication and Working Relationships:

- Internal: Operations, Finance, Other SCM departments
- External: Customers, Channel Partners, Off-taker (LGI).

Requirements

- A degree in Engineering with a post graduate degree in Marketing Management
- Minimum of 8 to10 year experience in the handling of sales function in a Polymer Co.
- Negotiation skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Planning and scheduling

Functional Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of Polymer Business.
- Knowledge of Polymer Markets dynamics.
- Inter-personal relationships and high EQ.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial activities/ export sales
