Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Oversee the field construction, verification of correct installation, performance of loop checks and oversight of final commissioning and start-up of process control systems.
- Review and approval of Automation, DCS & Instrumentation vendors’ design specifications.
- Ensure that construction methods and that execution comply with Project specification and align with local and international code & standard.
- Coordinate within the project team to ensure contractor interface issues are prioritized and addressed in time to achieve project objectives and milestones.
- Ensure the overall compliance of the PCS configuration with the project requirement and maintain records for factory & site inspection (FAT/SAT) reports.
- Report progress with agreed action and timelines.
- Develop and train Omani nationals assigned to the project.

Requirements

- University B.Sc. degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or similar role.
- Professional qualification is an advantage
- 10 years relevant experiences leading multidisciplinary teams on a Mega Projects within Oil & Gas and Petrochemical/Refinery
- Steam Cracker experience will be an advantage

Technical and Business:
- Experience with FEED and EPC phases of the project
- Experience reading and creating electrical control schematics, PFD, P&IDs, instrumentation & control data sheet and loop drawings.
- Experience working on System Integration
- Experience with a variety of Instrumentation and Industrial Controls process systems (ICS), including SCADA, DCS and PLC.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with and manage complex stakeholder input
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results on-time in field of expertise
- Proven ability to meet highest HSE standards

Leadership and Interpersonal:
- Proven ability to align, motivate and develop people across multiple disciplines and levels
- Demonstrated ability to deliver quality results on-time in field of expertise
- Demonstrated ability work in multi cultural, high pressure team environment
- Demonstrated non-authoritative ability to influence peers
- Capable to work with multiple systems relevant to plan and execute work
- Proven effectiveness in analysis execution and delivering results

Language:
- English (fluent) required, Arabic is advantageous
