JOB PURPOSE

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for driving Supply Chain execution within the ISP Marmul Project, by leading efficiently the procurement and logistics functions for the smooth execution of the project. The Supply Chain Manager will be a critical partner to the Project Director & Operations team of the ISP Marmul project.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

SAFETY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCE

QUALITY
• Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherfords Management System
• Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement

PROCUREMENT
• Works closely with Project Operations team to enhance performance of vendors and service providers involved in the ISP Marmul Project
• Ensure that there is zero downtime of operations owing to lack of planning and execution by Supply Chain.
• Support the Project on timely ordering of all required items for mobilization phase and for continued operations, in a cost effective manner, complying with all Weatherford policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities and implement action plans to increase efficiencies and decrease cost
• Identify process problems and concerns and make recommendations for innovative solutions and corrective actions to achieve desirable results, help the company manage cost on supplies and supplier services in an efficient way.
• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.

LOGISTICS
• Will be responsible for the end to end logistics for the ISP Marmul project.
• Coordiante efficiently the trucking operations to support drilling activities for the five rigs, two FBU’s, different product lines, service providers including civil contractors, drilling fluid company, waste management and all vendors involved in the project.
• Ensure all trucking operations are carried out in a Safe way, following Weatherford protocols on SAFE DRIVING and ensuring Journey Management Plans, Driver fatigue issues and driving discipline is followed.
• Will provide all key inputs to the CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE(COE) of the Project in Muscat Office and will take ownership for logistics aspects.
• Ensure that the various equipments involved in transportation such as casings, well heads, sewage, oil waste, diesel, product line equipments, and cables are all transported safely with zero damage and no negative impacts to the environment.

• Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external

FINANCIAL

• Costs incurred should be within approved budget, processed within agreed time frames & following the relevant financial policy and procedure

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in procurement & bulk logistics in an upstream oiL & gas organization.

PREFERRED
• Strong understanding of the drilling operations value chain.
• Experience in having handled supply chain for Integrated Projects or a land drilling contractor with multiple vendors or service providers is a must

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

REQUIRED
• Hands-on, strong leadership skills including leading supply chain management in highly demanding 24X7X365 operating environment.
• Ability to multi task and plan well in advance
• Strong problem solving, negotiating, solutions driven approach
• Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thoughts

PREFERRED
• Excellent ability to partner with Operations team
• A sense of urgency in carrying out responsibilities without compromising on quality
• Excellent negotiation skills and contract management.
• Outstanding planning skills.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT
This role may require lot of domestic travel to Marmul and Upper Saqr areas in South of Oman to: 25-50%
