Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objectives: System analysts are responsible for defining, developing, configuring and supporting computer applications with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity. Working as part of a team of IT professionals, either in-house for an organisation or as part of an external specialist company, they investigate and analyse problems or requirements from a business perspective and design and specify suitable systems.

The business analyst’s work is generally the same as the systems analyst. However the focus is on processes and activities within the business environment. Business analysts will often have a background in business and IT, either through a combined degree or an add-on IT qualification.

Analysts are involved in all aspects of a project from initial specification to coding, testing and final implementation. They need to be fluent and comfortable in the technical and non-technical aspects of the job, interacting within a team of both non-technical end-users and programmers.

Main responsibilities:
- Working closely with management to prioritise business goals and information needs
- Designing a system to meet the business goals
- Interpreting a project and the client’s requirements and evaluating all the options to identify potential solutions
- Examining existing business models and flows of data, discussing findings with the client, and evaluating system specifications for business requirements
- Designing and implementing the most efficient and cost-effective solutions
- Implementing, supporting and controlling an inventory of applications used
- Assisting in the development of, and migration to, new platforms.
- Defines application problem by conferring with clients; evaluating procedures and processes.
- Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
- Developing specifications, diagrams and flowcharts for programmers to follow
- Controls solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with programmers.
- Overseeing implementation, coordinating tests and observing initiation of the system to validate performance
- Ensures operation by training client personnel; providing support.
- Provides reference by writing documentation.

Desired start date: ASAP
Probation: 3 Months
Working Hours: Sun - Thursday (8 AM to 2 PM, 4 PM to 7 PM)
Travel requirements: occasional travel within country

Requirements

- 5+ years’ experience as System Analyst working on ERP modules.
- Should have worked as functional and technical consultant for 2 full cycle of ERP implementation.
- Must possess B. Tech / BE in IT with a Management Degree
- Strong negotiating skills, decision-making capabilities, resourcefulness to conduct independent research and gather information to fully understand your market and strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to delegate and handle multiple priorities
- Self-Motivated and results oriented
- Proven Results Track Record
- Team player to assist with obtaining new business
- Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
