Job description / Role
- Responsible for starting up equipment, mounting tools, performing necessary line condition checks, performing minor maintenance and making necessary adjustments to equipment to insure equipment performance and product quality.
- Operates thermoforming machinery to production specification and speed within a safe manner, producing a high quality product in an efficient manner.
- Monitor product quality to insure value-added products and be responsible for the quality of the product being manufactured; as well as, being able to make changes to line setup to insure product is within product specifications.
- Read and review daily production schedule for changes and confer with department head when necessary. Monitor and document all process parameters on a routine basis.
- Complete daily reports including cycle time, daily production, scrap tickets, packaging, production, and downtime.
- Performs general preventative maintenance on equipment and tool. Monitor machines for mechanical problems by listening for unusual noises and visually checking gears, hoses, gauges, materials, etc.
- Report any damage or misuse of equipment and will always ensure that the equipment is operated in a safe manner.
Requirements
- High school degree / diploma or degree certificate in plastics processing / thermoforming machine is an advantage.
- At least 1 year experience in operating thermoforming machine (FCS) in a plastic industry.
