We are now accepting applicants for a major infrastructure development program in the West Bank and Gaza, involving transportation, water supply, wastewater treatment, energy and other facilities components.

The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) provides technical and administrative supervision and direction to expatriate and local professionals in the planning, implementation, delivery, management and reporting of program activities to meet program objectives, and in compliance with rules and regulations for contractors and CDM Smith processes, systems, and performance requirements.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Provide support for overall program management.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of the Chief of Party when required.
- Manage field operations to ensure achievement of project goals.
- Interact and communicate with department managers and field staff.
- Train and mentor project staff.
- Travel to project sites to work with project teams and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Liaise with key stakeholders, as needed.
- Work with team to prepare, submit and track all contractual deliverables.
- Participate in all project management meetings.
- Identify and mitigate program risks.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 10 years professional experience, with at least 5 years of responsible project or construction management.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience on technically relevant projects.
- Experience with USAID Systems and Contracting Requirements desirable.
- Experience managing people and organizations.
- Experience in construction supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Experience in West Bank/Gaza desirable, and in the Middle East & Northern Africa region essential.
