Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a government agency, requires an experienced Multimedia Specialist in Doha, Qatar.

Key Activities:
- Provide Multimedia and AV technology leadership and ensure projects are update and using cutting edge technology to display objects and artwork
- Provide technical expertise and advise on Multimedia technology and technical specification, requirements, SOW and RFPs
- Lead and build a technical team of Multimedia and AV experts and ensure alignment with core business and delivery of services excellence
- Provide effective technical support and maintenances of Museums technology systems and respond to business needs
- Establish and maintains liaison with business users and external vendors; work with contractors and supervises the installation, repair, maintenance and upgrade of systems and equipment.
- Effectively manage multi-media equipment
- Provide technical expertise and advise on Multimedia technology and technical specification, requirements, SOW and RFPs
- Develop manuals and references, or related materials for use in conjunction with events materials
- Develop pre-production ideas and incorporate them into outlines, scripts, story boards, and graphics.
- Offer presentations and guidance on the role of multimedia in effective presentations.
- Prioritizes tasks and responsibility, provides regular feedback and takes prompt action where necessary.
- Setup, adjust, and operate audio visual equipment such as cameras, film and slide projectors, and recording equipment, for meetings, events, classes, seminars and video conferences.
- Install audio visual equipment.
- Direct and coordinate activities of assistants and other personnel during events.
- Acquire, catalog, and maintain collections of audio visual material such as films, video- and audio-tapes, photographs, and software programs.
- Construct and position properties, sets, lighting equipment, and other equipment.
- Produce rough and finished graphics and graphic designs. .
- Locate and secure settings, properties, effects, and other production necessities.
- Instruct users in the selection, use, and design of audio visual materials, and assist them in the preparation of instructional materials and the rehearsal of presentations.
- Perform simple maintenance tasks such as cleaning monitors and lenses and changing batteries and light bulbs.
- Determine formats, approaches, content, levels, and mediums necessary to meet events objectives effectively and within budgetary constraints.
- Provides timely and efficient response to QM staff to solve all technical A/V multimedia issues.
- Oversees maintenance schedules for hardware equipment and Supervise work of media/AV contractors.
- Monitors updated software versions for hardware systems and reviews track record of update schedules.
- Maintain or repair computers or related equipment
- Manages onsite technical issues such as technical problem through constant inspection of systems and equipment.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their manager.

Requirements

- Multimedia expert need to stay current on new and advancing forms of media. Working knowledge of video production, editing and photography software is also necessary.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Multimedia Design and proven experience in same field.
- A minimum of 9 years relevant experience in same field
