Employment: Full Time

This role is a 12 months fixed term contract and is subject for renewal. Boeing is hiring a Business Support Specialist located in Manama, Bahrain and in support of Boeing Shared Services International Business Support organization. The position will report to the Business Support Manager (BSM) who is located in Qatar and will receive day-to-day direction from this manager.

This position requires the candidate to assist with operations management and compliance, Business Support services and traveller assistance for multiple delegated business activities such as Enterprise Services, Site Services, Finance & Business, Security & Fire Protection and Supplier Management. Responds to routine or basic processes to support international assignees. Aides with processes and procedures for safeguarding people, property, information and the environment while becoming familiar with compliance standards. Aides in event support and executive visits.

The candidate will work closely with local government agencies and vendors to pro-actively support the business needs related to Boeing personnel on assignment in Bahrain. This includes, but is not limited to, immigration requirements, and expatriate assignment benefit implementation. The successful candidate will speak the local language and the English language fluently and will have prior experience supporting multinationals in Bahrain.

Your key responsibilities will be:
- Develops solutions to a variety of problems of simple scope and complexity across more than one discipline to deliver, coordinate, and integrate Shared Services (Enterprise Services, Site Services, Supplier Management, Security and Fire Protection, Finance and Business) for Boeing’s operations and employees.
- Delivers services locally or coordinates service delivery by centralized functions and teams throughout the region and the USA and in support of international assignees (i.e. relocation assistance, immigration support).
- Supports and coordinates with various corporate functions such as International Finance, Tax, Legal, Communications, Human Resources and others on matters pertaining to the compliant and efficient operation of Boeing’s legal entity in Bahrain (including company registry, local tax, workplace safety, import/export, and labor laws, and Boeing policies).
- Maintains reports and plans for company registration and certifications to include business licenses, commercial registration, Ministry of Labor, Bahrain Customs, etc.
- Supports the BSM with compliant Boeing infrastructure (office facilities) and safety and security (disaster planning and business continuity) within Bahrain.
- Maintains process plans, ensures implementation of policies and procedures.
- Supports the BSM with the development, implementation, and management of the annual Long Range Business Plan.

Requirements

High school or undergraduate and typically 5 or more years' related experience on the following: Government relations and general understanding of in-country laws and regulations for labor immigration, Business Operations Support, Employee Services and non-production procurement.

This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Manama, Bahrain. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll, and will commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Bahrain law. Employment is subject to the candidates ability to satisfy all Bahrain labor and immigration formalities.

This job may be level 1 or level 2 and will determined by the level of experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, in relation to the scope and responsibility of the position.
