Architect of Record - FIFA Stadium Project - Qatar

Our client is embarking on an innovative Stadium project in Qatar, ahead of the 2022 World Cup tournament. They are seeking an Architect of Record with relevant experience and a creative flair to spearhead this entire process. You will be responsible for processing all documentation in relation to the project.

The Role
- Accept responsibility for and manage the process of obtaining statutory approvals and permits for Health, Commercial, Industrial and Infrastructure projects in Qatar.
- Evaluating and advising upon regulatory legal requirements affecting the projects
- Advise Clients and the project team of the requirements and their obligations.
- Liaise with Qatar statutory authorities
- Coordinate and work with multi-disciplinary teams
- To work with fellow architects and technicians, team leaders and teams to trouble shoot and resolve problem areas
- To work with concept design and development teams
- To liaise with client representatives and other consultants as directed, to ensure that they are kept regularly and appropriately informed as to project progress

Requirements

- Architectural degree from a recognized and accredited university
- Registration as an architect with an appropriate Registration Board
- Minimum 5 years' post-graduate in the Gulf Region of medium to large scale construction projects
- Relevant experience with the Qatari building approvals and processes is essential
- Experience in the use of AutoCAD, MS Office particularly Word and Excel, Internet and Outlook is essential

Whilst experience working on a FIFA Stadium is preferred, it is not essential.
