Job description / Role
A leading international main contractor are currently recruiting for an Asphalt Manager for a major road/highway project in Qatar. The company are a diverse mix of nationalities and they have many projects in the Middle East region. They have large operations in Qatar and this person is required to join the existing team on a major infrastructure project in the region. The Asphalt Manager must partner with other management to ensure quality control specifications are met and to ensure daily production schedules/estimates are optimized. They must be able to instruct crew members in a professional manner in order to relay expectations and instill motivation. Daily entries required pertaining to all aspects of production and personnel. You must have a clear understanding of asphalt procedures and production. Must conduct effective assessment reviews for crew members.
Requirements
- You will be degree educated with over 15 years’ experience within the construction industry.
- Previous Qatar experience is essential.
- With at least 5 years of experience as an Asphalt Manager.
- You must be an expert in the construction of major roads and highways, particularly in the Middle East region.
- You must have a hands on approach, but also be a strong people manager who can delegate and drive the project forward.
- You must be fluent in English with excellent all-round communication skills.
