Job description / Role

Objectives:

Ensure all products are assembled according to the manufacturing guidelines. Assemblers must ensure all assembly procedures are followed and the product meets the company standards in terms of customer satisfaction and product quality, and ensuring such quality is maintained for deliveries also.

Main Responsibilities:

• Report any damages or issues to the After Sales Service Department immediately and action any rectification procedures as identified
• Be vigilant and check thoroughly for product damage
• Ensure all products are assembled properly and without any damage
• Ensure timely arrival at the customer’s home within the scheduled delivery window, maintaining professionalism whilst communicating with the customer
• Demonstrate urgency in addressing all customer complaints by listening to the problem, and working towards finding a positive solution
• Ensure customer receives high class service, taking the time to explain to the customer any guidelines applicable to operating the product
• Know the fabrics, textiles, woods and materials of furniture sold in the Store. Maintain up to date knowledge of products, especially with regards to handling and care of the products, in addition to any special Features and Benefits (F.A.B’s).
• Help customers with any queries they may have surrounding the brand or products, style, size, and availability of items
• Resolve all customer queries in a positive and professional manner
• Coordinate with the After Sales Service Coordinator for delivery timetable, ensuring products are delivered in an efficient and timely manner to the customer’s home
• Operate carefully within the customer’s home ensuring no damage is caused to products or to the customer’s property
• Remove traces of delivery including packaging from the customer’s home prior to departure
• Treat customers and team members with professionalism and with respect
• Assemble products to the required company standards, following the correct assembly procedures
• Adhere to the safety rules, working in a safe manner, and look after the safety of colleagues and customers
• Load vehicle on a daily basis ensuring that all items are accurately accounted for in line with Delivery Note balances, and stored safely to prevent damage during transition
• Use proper manual handling practices when loading and unloading products, keeping safety in mind
• Know the correct use of tools and use accordingly to prevent any injuries and damage to any products
• Store all tools and equipment safely when not in use
• Pre and Post check of the tool box to ensure the contents are accounted for and are in proper working order
• Maintain clean and tidy uniform standards and ensure personal hygiene
• Work safely in a team environment following all Health and Safety guidelines
• Monitor and report concern related to products and report it to Delivery team and Assembly Team Leader

Requirements

• University Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Nature and length of previous experience: 2-3 years experience in a similar role within Furniture Retail Industry
