Purpose: Assist the Executive director of RACS in the management and coordination of RACS activities

Principal Accountabilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of the HMC mission, vision, and values.
- Participates in the planning, development, coordination, and presentation of specific training and educational programs as appropriate to JCI needs.
- Participates in planning, coordinating and conducting workshops, training and education related to JCI and other accreditation agencies standards.
- Maintains conformity to the survey findings and provides written summaries as needed, communicates deficiencies and problem and JCI concerns to department directors.
- Participates in coordinating the development of feedback and process improvement for the committees and facilities
- Participates in designing, scheduling and conducting meeting to discuss JCI deficiencies in the facilities.
- Collaborates and consults with other associated facilities regarding current JCI issues and improvement activities.
- Works with all HMC clinical and managerial leadership to assure continuous monitoring and improvement.
- Follow up the development and implementation of facilities and corporate mission and accreditation standards.
- Participates with facilities/committees in developing and implementing JCI standards plans, policies and procedures among all level of staff.
- Cooperates fully in surveys activities and other JCI activities among all facilities.
- Works with leader to ensure that improvement initiatives are continuously identified and driven to implementation and sustainability.
- Consults with and advise the director on problems relating to the accreditation action plans at HMC.
- Assumes duties assigned by Executive director during her absence.
- Represents Executive director on various internal and external committees, commissions, andagencies
- Conducts special studies at the request of the Executive director and prepare subsequent reports, analyses and recommendations.
- Develops standards and methods for measurement of HMC activities for each facility.
- Acts as liaison between medical staff and director on professional care standards and patient safety.
- Interprets and transmit facilities and departmental policies, objectives, and operating procedures, to department heads and support staff..
- Recommends improvement of facilities, including constructions or renovations of structures and major problem to meet accreditation requirement.
- Monitors and implements accreditation and inspection standards.
- Attends accreditation programs training, courses and conferences in order to remain current on changes or updates to the JCI standards and other agencies standards.
- Establishes and maintains confidentiality and effective working relationships with corporate levels.

Requirements

- Masters degree in Hospital administration, public health or business administration or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary
- (10) Ten years extensive experience in hospital management is necessary, out of which five years experience in Accreditation as Internal Surveyor.
- Considerable knowledge of the laws and accreditation standards applicable to hospital is necessary.
- Preferred Experience: An additional five years experience in an accredited hospital.

Computer Skills: Advanced

Required Certification/Licensure/ Registration:
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.

Language Skills: Excellent command of Arabic and English.

Key Competencies:
- Ability to think strategically in relation to planning and implementation of quality Management programs.
- Ability to translate variation in findings to action plans.
- Ability to implement action plans and identify changes.
- Ability to communicate and reason with various staff categories at HMC.
- Ability to conduct complex statistical analysis and to extrapolate meaningful findings that assist decision makers in having their decision based on evidence.
- Ability to design Six Sigma tools/ techniques.
- Ability to demonstrate performance improvement and patient safety processes.
- Ability to function as arbitrator and to resolve conflict.

Problem Solving/Decision Making:
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
