Assistant Procurement Manager - AFGRE - Doha Festival City - Doha, Qatar

The objective of the Centralised Procurement function is to encapsulate all forms of non-development procurement of assets (goods and services, works, supply agreement, annual maintenance contracts, professional engagement, etc) for the business units based on the required scope of work. Specifically, this position works closely with the various business units across the organisation and Finance Department.

A variety of benefits associated with a centralized procurement include: Control and monitor the implementation and the compliance of the procurement process; Ensuring vendors / contractors are pre-qualified as per the approved procurement Manual.

Develop Vendor Management System; Ensure that the procurement of goods and services are in line with quality standards, time and budget; Demonstrate continuous improvement and decrease turnaround time; Centralise the negotiation with the contractors to ensure achieving cost savings; Develop and continuously improve the SAP solutions of Procurement cycle, etc.

This role will report to the Procurement Manager and will be based out of Doha Festival City.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with a Degree in Business Management or equivalent. CIPS certification will be an advantage.

The incumbent must possess excellent technical knowledge of best procurement practices; exposure to both bidding and tendering process; exposure to detailed cost analysis and bids normalization; experience of working with P2P technology such as SAP; expertise in improving ERP systems functionalities etc.

Someone with 8-10 years of experience in a procurement role along with at least 3 years in a managerial role would be eligible for this role.
