Assistant Service Manager - DOMASCO - Doha, Qatar

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our Honda Service Department.

The primary purpose of the role is to assist the Service Manager in managing the operations of the workshop to ensure it achieves or exceeds given levels of Customer Service satisfaction in accordance with company policies and procedures. To operate the department at maximum production and ensure technical efficiency, controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, maintaining good employee relations, obtaining sales and profit objectives and maintaining service records.

The main responsibilities of the role are to assist in forecasting goals and objectives for the department and ensure these are met; understand and comply with local regulations that affect service operations; train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all service department staff; provide technical assistance to Service department employees; conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation; establish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.

Handle all customers' complaints effectively; quality-check all completed jobs; monitor repair order trends, such as number of repair orders completed, number of items per repair order, sales per repair order, sales per Service Advisor, etc; ensure that all customer service files are up to date and are readily available for reference; collect accounts receivable for service work; follow up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability.

Requirements

- Degree in Automotive Engineering or equivalent is essential
- Good knowledge of MS Office products
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar position with a reputed company
- Leadership, team building, and man management skills
- Ability to demonstrate numeracy, systems planning and implementation, and customer handling abilities
- Technical knowledge in the field of Auto Service
- Ability to handle difficult and demanding customers, ensuring achievement of customer satisfaction
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written is a must.
- Must have good command of the English language and Arabic is preferable
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to deal effectively with pressure and stress
