The company advises corporate, financial and private investors and government on a range of capital optimisation strategies with M&A advisory, infrastructure advisory, debt advisory, transaction services, valuations, IPOs, and merger and integration services offerings.

Our client's Transaction Services team is expanding rapidly and has recently been involved in leading Mergers and Acquisitions in Qatar and globally. They add value to their clients at all stages of the M&A and transaction lifecycle, from pre-transaction analysis and due diligence and advising on strategic growth and funding initiatives during the investment ownership period, to assisting their clients with respect to IPOs and capital raisings.

Corporate Finance - Transaction Services team provides tailored advice to clients in a wide variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, investments and privatisation, together with IPO and equity raising scenarios.

Our client is looking for a proven Associate Director to join their highly regarded and growing Qatar team who will be involved in:
- Advising their corporate, financial and private investor and government clients in a wide variety of complex and challenging transaction scenarios
- Working closely with project based teams, supervising and reviewing the analysis of junior team members, writing reports and supporting senior team members with overall engagement management
- Providing in-depth analysis of the key commercial and financial aspects of organisations, in addition to assessment of their future strategic and financial plans
- Liaising with other service lines including Economics, Corporate Tax and Audit
- Continuing to build the company's brand in the market through business development opportunities with existing and targeted clients

Requirements

As an Associate Director you will become a key part of a passionate team focused on delivering excellent advice to clients. You will ideally be an analytical chartered accountant with a minimum of 4 - 6 years’ post-qualification experience from an M&A, Transaction Services, Corporate Finance or Investment Banking background or have extensive experience performing financial due diligence tasks;

- 6+ years or more experience in financial consulting (Financial Advisory/ Corporate Finance) or Investment Banking/ Merchant Banking, preferably in Corporate Finance Department with experience in areas such as business valuations, mergers & acquisitions, due diligence, financial modeling and re-structuring, raising debt or equity.
- Recognized accounting qualification ACA preferred - otherwise MBA or equivalent, with emphasis on finance/financial planning or investment analysis.
- An ability to quickly interpret and review financial information and apply advanced financial analysis skills
- Highly developed project management and inter-personal communication skills, including a track record of supervising more junior staff and delivering outstanding client service in compressed timeframes
- Strong commercial acumen with proven ability in interpreting and analysing key business and valuation drivers
- A good understanding of the M&A environment (public market, private company and private equity) and a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients, other advisers and transaction stakeholders
- Succinct and insightful report preparation skills supported by advanced Microsoft Office skills (critically including Excel and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated ability to manage people and plan engagements, along with ensuring deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines.
- Motivated, dedicated, dynamic, flexible, output focused.
- Resilient with an attitude and ability to cope with tight deadlines, pressure and long hours when required.
- Fluent spoken and written English to a high business standard. Spoken and/or written Arabic will be viewed very positively.
- Advanced level of technical proficiency and computer literacy particularly with spreadsheets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exposure to financial services assignments from within a transaction or reorganisation advisory capacity will be highly regarded.
