Bid Manager

Job description / Role

Adept Personnel are currently recruiting for a major company from Asia who are a leading main contractor. They have a renowned presence worldwide and have continued to affirm their leading position in the industry. They now require the immediate assistance of a Bid Manager for the heavy civils division.

This position is office based in Doha – Qatar. You will be working within the Heavy Civil Division and report directly to the division head (ME).

The Bid manager must provide a professional and efficient Bid Management service for all the elements of projects tendered, ensuring that the contracts can be secured to meet the overall business and financial objectives of the Company.

General duties will include:
- You will be responsible for managing, producing and delivering multiple bids for the client to deadline, and with accurate costings.
- You will also identify areas of risk and opportunity, and ensure the commercial aspects are calculated and managed to each stage of project and programme to minimise the risk
- Your role will be to manage, assemble and compile the documents for the Bid process, and the delivery of the portfolio of changes to time and cost, but also with respect to health and safety
- You will also produce monthly progress information
- You will demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness and good attention to detail

Requirements

- The Bid Manager must have at least 10 years professional experience
- At least 2-3 years’ experience as a Bid Manager or similar
- Must have infrastructure experience including rail or metro experience
- Must have previous GCC experience (preferably Qatar in particular)
