Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading organization in Qatar is looking for a brand strategy developer to lead the promotion of their brand domestically and internationally.

The main responsibilities are to:
- Understand important factors behind the company’s financial & non-financial performance.
- Take a leading role in reviewing and aligning branding strategy requirements in various areas across different locations
- Understand competitor strategy, product/service offerings and key differentiators.
- Utilize industry information to improve strategy development
- Conduct, in coordination with the Research function, competitive strategic analysis, consumer segmentation and consumer insight development, and use the findings in the development of the brand strategy.
- Develop communication networks internally and externally to gain a better understanding of the company’s brand perception in local and international markets.
- Create a comprehensive brand structure and design guidelines for a wide variety of branding and merchandising material including; signage, brochures, fascia images, advertising and event setup materials for local and international branches and subsidiaries.
- Create internal brand alignment to turn every employee into a “brand believer” especially within the Communications department through continuous communication and workshops/ informative sessions.
- Conduct, in coordination with the Research function, competitive strategic analysis, consumer segmentation and consumer insight development, and use the findings in the development of the brand strategy.
- Ensure, in coordination with the Head of Local/ International Branding and Merchandising, the success in translation of defining qualities of the brand in execution.
- Assist the Advertisement function, in the development of advertising plans and strategies to make constant changes while plans are implemented for maximum effect.
- Consider how internal and external longer-term issues affect area plans.
- Contribute to the organization budgeting & strategic planning process through designing a branding/ re-branding strategy.
- Support strategic planning activities and communicate plans to the execution teams.
- Develop plans for specific work activities in own area over the medium term, including forecasting resource requirements

Requirements

- University graduate ideally with a degree in Business advertising or marketing or related discipline.
- Master’s in Business Administration/ Strategy would be an advantage but is not essential
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in brand management
- Experience in developing brands within international markets
- Good understanding of branding tools/ techniques and related best practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective branding strategy programs that support strategic business objectives.
- Project Management Skills to see through an idea from start to finish.
- Ability to work with teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
