Job description / Role
Responsible for managing the development and implementation of the Business Continuity Program for the company.
- Develop, maintain, or implement business continuity strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, and documentation of business continuity procedures.
- Manage relevant consultancy contract and be the company's representative with relevant contractors. Oversee the implementation of the BCM project, and report progress as required to management.
- Manage the planning, conduct, and debriefing of regular BC related drills and exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly.
- Oversee business continuity activation after a disruption event and coordinate with the emergency and crisis management teams as required.
- Ensure that all technical components of the Business Continuity plans are successfully tested regularly, or whenever significant changes are made to those components.
- Manage all documentation of the BCM program. Ensure regular update to BC Plans and other key documents by coordinating with relevant business unites .
- Organise and conduct or participate in BCMS self assessments and audits and reviews and implement agreed actions.
- Organise and facilitate or participate in business impact analysis (BIA) and risk assessments and update the BCMS plans and procedures on regular basis.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or science preferably in health and safety, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and training (crisis and emergency management, Business continuity full lifecycle including business impact analysis and risk assessment).
- Knowledge of BC laws, standards and best practices
- Additional degree / certification in information technology would be an advantage
- 10 years of relevant experience in a large organization preferably in oil/gas
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years in business continuity management
