Job description / Role
COWI Qatar is currently seeking a CAD Manager to support our Infrastructure Group.
You will be responsible for managing a team producing civil infrastructure design drawings for all aspects of the assigned projects from concept to construction stage drawings.
You should have the ability frequently to travel to the Indian Sub-Continent in-order to support our production office in our offshore facilities.
- Provide input into the development of COWI CAD standards, systems and procedures
- Liaise with the Technical Managers, Design Leaders and off-shore facility CAD production manager with regards to proactive resource planning
- Demonstrate extensive experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation and BIM with a high level of design skills
- Manage inventory of AutoCAD software and systems
- Ensure efficient AutoCAD document archiving and retrieval processes
- Train new and existing staff to meet required technical and quality standards
- Plan and organize tasks, people and resources to ensure project delivery
- Customize AutoCAD programs
Requirements
- Min Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited University with a minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in civil and highways projects
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience working on roadways and highways, complex interchanges, traffic & utility diversions and wet & dry utility design and interface coordination
- Experience working on Design-Build projects is preferred
- Professional experience from the Middle East is also preferred
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
