Job description / Role
- Liaison with engineers and technicians from within the organization and with external consultants and contractors
- Carrying out the review and design of ITS systems and infrastructure for road projects in accordance with Qatar standards, specifications and procedures
- Carrying out inspections and review of existing ITS infrastructure
- Providing ITS advice and guidance into various road infrastructure projects
- Carrying out studies for the implementation and operation of ITS
- Providing support in the preparation of route reports, location reports and area reports as required by the organization
- Liaise with utilities providers and other stake holders
- Liaison with other interdisciplinary technical specialists in addressing ITS issues on infrastructure projects
Requirements
- BSc / BEng or equivalent degree in Civil Engineering/Electrical/Electronic from a recognized university.
- CEng, PE, PEng or equivalent Chartership is a must.
- Minimum demonstrable experience of 4 years as a Chartered Engineer
- 15 years of demonstrable experience in design, operation and maintenance of ITS infrastructure, with satisfactory exposure to all related disciplines.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience with management capacity.
- Very good knowledge and experience with international & GCC design and construction code.
