Job description / Role
Client is a multinational corporation (engineering, construction, manufacturing, tech, and financial services)
- Manage the finance function for the entire process chain of the clients construction product market segments
- Monitor monthly reporting within the market segments
- Developing corporate strategies to counter threats in the business sectors and economic environment
- Liasing with negotiating with government authorities
- Coordinating with various Governement agencies for financial corporate matters.
- Spearhead cost effective initiatives and generate new ideas for various projects
- Due diligence on JV partners, vendors and competitor analysis
- Preparation and participation in the risk reviews at various levels
- Prepare guidelines notes on doing business in Qatar covering various aspects of business
- Supporting the organisation in identifying new business ventures, acting as the finance representative
- Operational responsibility for managing the department’s financial resources, including management accounting, financial and budget controls, short and medium term planning
- Responsible for monitoring the organisations development activity, including reviewing the investment appraisals, maintaining control of the schemes
- Leading a high performing team of finance professionals – 4 FM’s
Requirements
- BS degree, MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum 15 years progressive business experience with exposure to closely held entrepreneurial companies preferred.
- Through knowledge and understanding of finance.
- A balance of strategic vision and hands-on experience.
- Strong leadership and team building qualities
- Committed, tough minded pragmatic, performance-driven personality.
- A track record of good judgment and prudent risk taking.
- Proven success in Accounting, Planning and Management.
- Strong strategic, analytical and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to motivate and direct people.
- Energetic, dynamic, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Experience managing and implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning system or similar system.
