Employment: Full Time

We are looking for a well experienced CLO to take on a leadership role at a major family holding group in Doha

Client Details

Well-established organisation in Doha, Qatar with a wide array of businesses within its portfolio, looking to explore new ventures and expand on its existing businesses

Description

* Lead the development of the legal department while adhering to direction set by the Board of Directors
* Directs and coordinates the organisation's legal staff and activities
* Update or draft new/amended company regulations, rules, policies and procedures including all types of contracts;
* Devise and implement compliance programs, self assessments and checklists for the Group and its subsidiaries to ensure compliance with the various regulations, rules, policy statements and other laws in Qatar
* Provides management with advice and counsel concerning laws impacting the organisation's functional areas
* Writes/reviews contracts, files and responds to lawsuits, and recommends outside counsel when necessary

Job Offer

* Tax-free salary of $160,000 - 180,000 USD per annum
* Accommodation, schooling for up to 2 children and annual return flight home

Requirements

Candidates who apply should meet the following criteria

* 10 years of experience or more in a legal role (with management experience)
* Commercial contract drafting skills and broad competencies including regulatory, risk management and compliance
* Must be fluent in Arabic
* High level strategic thinking and decision-making skills
