Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Report directly to the respective Resident Engineer and is an essential function in the fulfillment of PMCS responsibilities during construction
- Be responsible for assuring that the MSI contractor adheres to approved plans and specifications, contract-imposed administrative and operational requirements and applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the site earthwork, underground utilities, site concrete, roadwork and pavements, site features and small support structures, landscaping and related civil work.
- Coordinate with the MSI contractor to verify that adequate, trained resources are available, that the right materials are used and that the proper processes are implemented during construction.
- Document the fulfillment of the tasks accomplished and provide to the Resident Engineer any other documentation.
- Meet with the MSI contractors field supervision daily to review the daily and, as appropriate, weekly work plans, method statements, inspection and test plans(ITPs), field directions and schedules.
- Monitor the MSI contractors performance of work, assuring adherence to the approved documents and requirements to the extent that it applies to his discipline and area of expertise

Requirements

- Have at least 10 years overall experience
- Have at least 5 years performing similar inspection tasks in the respective discipline or area of expertise for which he/she is assigned.
- Have Metro experience
- Be at least a technical diploma or Equivalent holder
- Have a demonstrated technical/vocational training in the discipline/area of expertise of no less than 5 courses or programs or an additional two years of experience.
- Must be physically capable to work in the field.
