Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose

The position is responsible for participating in the activities of assisting the Cost Controller in supervising the personnel engaging in receiving, storing and issuing of hotel related items. Assisting in providing information to control cost in ensuring that food, beverage and other contribution margins are maximized consistently with high standards of quality and service.

Primary Responsibilities

- Assists in supervising, coordinating and participating in all activities of Accounting Officer (Store) and Accounting Officer (Receiving) in controlling food and beverage used in the Hotel.
- Assists in the preparation of accurate and timely operational reports (Daily and Monthly).
- Reviews all posting and summarizing all related reports originating from receiving, storeroom and other departmental sections.
- Coordinates with Group Purchasing regarding outstanding deliveries and deliveries not in accordance with specifications.
- Assists in conducting spot check of different kitchens and bars to prevent pilferage and overstocking.
- Assists the Cost Controller in supervising daily and monthly inventory.
- Assists in maintaining and updating the standard recipe on all menu items for banquet and restaurants.
- Updates closing inventory to the system.
- Assists in analyzing cost percentages when required.
- Assists in receiving and issuing functions when required.
- Ensures adherence of HACCP standards and requirement at all times.

Requirements

Main Complexity / Critical issues in the Job

- Accuracy in reports.
- Ability to meet tight datelines.
- Adheres and maintains HACCP standard at all times.
- Ensuring of compliance in accordance with policy and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.

Knowledge and Experience

- Diploma / Degree holder in Accounting or equivalent.
- To be equipped with knowledge on Beverages an advantage.
- Knowledge of Point of Sales system and Inventory System (Material Control) an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel will be an advantage.
- Minimum 2 - 3 years relevant work experience in a similar capacity.
- Minimum 1 year hotel related work experience an advantage.
