Important International Construction Main Contractor
Position
- The successful applicant will be the Quantity Surveying / Commercial Manager of a design and build road project in Qatar.
- Approximate Contract Value: USD 1 billion.
- Project Status: design almost completed, construction in progress.
Duties
The successful applicant will be reporting to the Project Director.
Duties will include:
- Managing a team of quantity surveyors
- Preparation of monthly valuations
- Valuation of variations
- Weekly and monthly cost reports
- Cost monitoring
- Cash flow forecast
- Attendance at commercial and other related meetings
- Contract administration - correspondence, notifications, assistance in claims etc.
- Preparation of subcontract documents
- Management of subcontracts – correspondence, certifications, variations etc.
- Final accounts
Requirements
- Applicants will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying and/or be a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and will have solid and extensive experience of minimum 20 years in the construction industry, preferably on large scale road projects in the Middle East.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills, along with excellent command of the English language are essential. Experience with FIDIC contracts is required.
- Pleasant, highly motivated, team player, dynamic and hardworking individual, able to demonstrate hands-on ability to lead and direct large groups of professionals.
