Menasa and Partners is currently conducting a search for Contracts Manager – Rail to join international engineering consultancy company working on large rail project based in Qatar.

Brief Job description:
- As the Contracts Manager you will be responsible to review the Prime Contractor for risk and flow down requirements and ensure that any requirements are align with the appropriate contracts and purchase orders.
- Oversee and manage the staff of contract personnel and coordinate with other discipline as well as the client to ensure proper contracting effort in accordance with the company practices.
- Provide planning, preparation and issuance of project contract documents in accordance with the project execution plan and procedures.
- Assist in the development of the contracting plan, determine contractor's fitness to perform the conduct resources survey's in local area interface with engineering, project and client personnel at the site HQ
- Conduct pre-bid meeting, bid evaluations and negotiations, award recommendations and contract execution perform all facets of post award contract management.
- Administer changes to contracts, including claims resolution.
- Interface with internal and external management with respect to project contracting activities
- Monitor performance of the project contract activities, analyze risk situations and take proactive control where required.

Requirements

- BSc in Civil Engineer – must be 4 years college degree. Engineering or Construction. MRICS membership required. Western educated preferred.
- Min 15 years of construction experienced required, 10 years of experience working as QS.
- Familiar with various construction method and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.
- Excellent Computer skills; Microsoft office suite of programs English oral & written Communications skills are required
- Ability to communicate and interact with employees at all working and management levels.
- Ability to build effective relationship with client Engineering, Construction, and Vendor personnel.
- Negotiations skills, excellent communication skills and ability to manage tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership skills necessary to achieve business and project results.
