Contracts Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

Client is quickly becoming one of the global leaders in construction and is currently recruiting for a Contracts Quantity Surveyor to join their team working on a large infrastructure project in Qatar.

Responsibilities of the role include:
- Ability to collate information and assist with the preparation and submission of interim claims and notices.
- To chase up the other departments for letter responses and assist with the drafting of same.
- Possible attendance at meetings to be the “eyes and ears” of the Contract Department (not necessarily participate, record and summarize any potential issues following the meeting).
- Assist with the updating of variations with consultants and designers.

Requirements

- Excellent English written and communication skills is a must
- At least 5 year’s experience
- Degree qualified
- A basic understanding of contractual obligations
- Knowledge in claims and contract’s administration
- Experience of working with FIDIC contracts
