Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Should be able to lead high value and complex tenders from end-to-end, within the company KPIs and bring best value for money to the company.
- Able to provide specialist knowledge and guidance to Contracts Engineers and Contracts Administrators within the team.
- Make recommendations for continuous improvement of the systems and process, and to bring best practices in the industry by leading such project implementation.
- Responsible for all allocated PRs tendering and contracts activities such as strategies, approvals, preparation and issuance of tenders and contracts, clarifications, site visits, bid evaluation and award of contracts, signing and execution of contracts.
- Handles post contract related activities like PBG, Insurance, issuance of change orders if any, Performance of Contractors, settlement of disputes and claims, cancellation/termination of contracts as required.
- Prepare all documents for management and tender committee approvals.
- Day-to-day interaction with end user Departments, Legal, HSE, Finance Departments and Contractors to ensures that all tender related activities are executed as per established policy and procedures.
- Keeps track of latest industry and business practices. Conducts commercial negotiations and derives suitable commercial strategy towards cost savings for Company.
- Review and provide solutions/advice in certain cases of post contract award issues with Contractors or end users including providing interpretations and settlement of contractor claims.
- Mentor National employees and subordinate staff so they can develop their knowledge and capability.
- Provide subject matter expertise in the input for scope of works and pricing model developments. Improve procedures, systems and processes and conduct alignment meetings.
- Prepare the Demand plan in consultation and review with end user Departments and monitors the progress against actuals.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent with 8 years’ experience in tendering and contracts management within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Computer literacy, including working knowledge of business software programs, networking and SAP.
- Strong analytical, organizational & planning skills.
- Knowledge of local, regional or international markets
- Detailed understanding of Company business and industry practices.
- Basic understanding of plant processes/production.
