Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are currently inviting applications for CSSD Technicians/Operation Theater Technicians to join the Central Sterile Supplies Department at Al Wakra hospital.

The CSSD Technician will be responsible for the daily activities of sterilization, decontamination, manual issue of products and data entry through inventory systems and for patient care equipment used by Nursing and Surgery areas.

The technician will be working in conjunction with the Operating Room staff to provide timely sterile products, trays and case carts where applicable.

Duties involve maintaining high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspecting, wrapping and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment for surgical Services and all clinical departments.

Requirements

- 10 years of General Education plus successful completion of 6 months CSSD Certified course from recognized institute.
- Operating Theater Technician with 3 months direct supervision upon placement in CSSD OR Equivalent.
- 2 years of CSSD/Surgical Operating Theater experience.
