Data Analyst/Diagnostic Engineer (Electrical)

Job description / Role

Norconsulting is currently looking for a Data Analyst/Diagnostic Engineer (Electrical) having experience in Medium voltage (MV & HV) equipment (i.e. transformer (dry / oil filled), switchgear, cable, motor) diagnostics analysis (i.e partial discharge, infrared thermograph, transformer oil analysis etc)

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Define Asset Condition with Health Index of all High voltage, Medium Voltage & Low Voltage Assets
- Link Current Condition to Performance
- Estimate future condition, performance and remaining life
- Evaluate consequences of failures in various categories such as safety, network performance, environmental, financial etc
- Quantify risks for each asset class
- Prioritization & Ranking of Assets
- Ranking on failure probability and condition of the asset
- Ranking on importance of asset & impact
- Ranking on risk (probability x impact)
- Suggest Remedial Measures
- Analyze site data related to Partial discharge and Infrared Thermography etc.
- Review reports along-with client and defend the conclusions made in the reports for the assigned assets health indices.
- Review reports and analyse the abnormal cases
- Attend monthly presentation and data review meetings with client

Requirements

- Must be from Electrical Engineering (Power) background
- Experienced in Partial Discharge measurement and analysis for Electrical Equipment (Transmission and Distribution level)
- Experienced/having sound knowledge, concepts and understandings of Oil Analysis for Power and Distribution Transformers
- Experienced in Infrared Thermography and analysis for Electrical Equipment (Transmission and Distribution level)
- Other details in the attachment
- Medium voltage (HV & MV) equipment (i.e. transformer (dry / oil filled), switchgear, cable, motor) diagnostics analysis (i.e partial discharge, infrared thermograph, transformer oil analysis etc)
- Condition Based Risk Management (CBRM) development for MV equipment by diagnostics condition parameters
- Asset Management and Asset Care
- End of life assessment of electrical equipment
- Probability of failure estimation
- Consequences of failure assessment
- Asset management software and other data analysis software
- Proficiency in English
- Able to work in coordination with other team members
- Minimum 7 years’ experience, extensive past experience in MV equipment diagnostics testing, and diagnostics results analysis
