Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Imperial College London (ICL) and Qatar Foundation (QF) formed a joint venture to design and develop Qatar Biobank (QBB). The Pilot Phase is complete and ICL is in the process of handing over to QBB.

One significant aspect of this handover is the transfer of Participant data collected during the Pilot Phase from the ICL database to a new data base being developed by QBB.

To assist and facilitate in this data transfer ICL wish to appoint a person on a temporary basis (3 to 4 months) to work with the ICL Team and the QBB team.

This is a ‘hands-on’ role; the appointee will be expected to extract the data from the ICL database, transform the data sets to suit the new data base and help load the data into the new database. This is not a role where the appointee will be managing others.

The ICL database is an SQL Server database, the new database is MySQL.
