Job description / Role
Position in the organization chart: The deputy health safety security and environment manger reports directly to the HSSE Manager
Main assignments and activities:
- Abides with the HSSE departments mission statement and promotes it through the HSSC team
- Advises others regarding the site HSSE rules and procedures
- Takes part of the HSSE inspection and audits and logs their result into the HSE inspection report
- Reports to HSSE manager in case of accidents, incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, ect;
- Must suspends work execution immediately whenever he is informed of an event endangering human safety and generates a stoppage of work report accordingly
- Assists HSE/Security/Environment& Awareness Supervisor AND medical team
- Consolidates internal/external reporting
- Lead the HSSE department in absence of HSSE manager
- Leads HSE inspections of QDVC labor force and subcontractors
Autonomy/ Responsibility: The deputy HSSE Manager coordinates efforts of HSE/Security/Environment & awareness supervisors and medical team and assists them in promoting site rules and procedures and follows/ applies the project HSSE departments mission statement.
Job constraints: Able to work on Friday, night and overtime, driving license.
Requirements
- Level of education: Engineer degree, recognized diploma HSE related
- Specialties: Health, safety and environment
- Experience: 10 years minimum experience as HSE manager in construction industry
- Special knowledge: Minimum of 45pts obtained in the HSE test, use of tactile device, Microsoft office package(word/Exel), Proficiency in business writing
- Personal qualities: proactive thinking, Realistic goal setting for other, rigorous, integrity, resistant to stress, friendly/culturally sensitive, humans wellbeing focus, problem solving , personal relationship
- Languages: professional working proficiency(IRL Level-3) in English
