Design Manager

Job description / Role

Design Lead/Manager for a leading consultancy working on a major infrastructure project in Doha.

The role will be to take responsibility for the design management of the project including management of design consultants and contractors to ensure that all parties have the right design information at the right to time to deliver the project successfully on time.

The role will also involve anticipating and resolving any issues with the design in close consultation with all parties. The right candidate must be a client facing manager with excellent team management skills.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a design manager who has experience working for a major contractor as well as in a project management firm also in a Design Management capacity. With an excellent track in design coordination of major projects.

* Degree Qualified in relevant discipline such as architecture, civil engineering or construction management
* Ideally a Post Graduate professional qualification
* 15 years of post graduate experience
* Only applicants that have worked on major roads and highways projects previously will be considered
* Must have worked for a major contractor and/or consultant
* Client facing with excellent management skills
* Excellent written and verbal English
