Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Digital Content Specialist position requires a dedicated team member who will optimise and upload digital content.

Key responsibilities
- Carry out day to day updating of various types of content on the SC website (e.g. text, images, video, audio etc) ensuring consistent and attractive layout across five languages and multi-platform
- Final step in quality control to ensure that content is well written, complies with brand language guidelines and is logically structured
- Provide guidance and support to SC colleagues on optimising content for compelling online delivery
- Manipulate images and multimedia content for best online use
- Carry out search engine optimisation
- Test, scope and report on website and CMS technical developments
- Generate and maintain up to date website statistics
- Other responsibilities as directed
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor directly related or relevant to the job

Ensure the assigned responsibilities are delivered:
- To a high standard of quality and timeliness
- In full compliance with the SC Quality Policy and the Safety and Security rules and requirements
- In line with any standards and objectives designated in the Employee Performance Management system

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years as a website content editor
- Excellent written English, including good spelling and grammar
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with the use of content management systems and the ability to optimise all types of content for digital use
- Familiarity with web concepts such as domains, IP addresses and UX
- Knowledge of search engine optimisation
- Experience with editing images using Photoshop
- HTML5 and CSS skills will be an advantage
- Experience working cross-functionally and comfort interacting with other employees at all levels
- Experience working in highly diverse, multi-lingual environment
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Experience of working in multi-language sites will be considered an advantage
- Ability to maintain quality standards while meeting tight deadlines
