Direct Sales & OTA Manager (Africa Region)

In this role, you will drive direct sales and online travel agency (OTA) performance in online and offline areas through the implementation of a Direct Sales and OTA strategy, maximising revenue contribution to exceed assigned revenue targets and ensuring long-term growth. You will also develop and deliver QR Direct Sales and OTA Strategy and provide leadership on a strategic and commercial level of all Direct Sales channels and OTAs in the region.

Specific accountabilities include:
- Follow up on key online developments within the industry and establish a healthy balance between IBE and OTA classes
- Follow up and keep abreast of the latest technical innovations in the field of online sales
- Support corporate and premium sales through direct sales channels and OTAs
- Increasing FFP penetration and develop a strategy to enhance the customer experience of our frequent flyers and privilege club members through direct sales and OTAs
- Create new revenue streams by building affiliate networks and ancillary products
- Ensure competitive pricing across all markets for all QR Direct Sales channels and OTAs with a strong focus on price parity between OTAs and IBE
- Strategically manage telephone sales, airport and town office ticket desks and qr.com for online and offline stations as well as OTA sales

Requirements

To be effective in this role, you will need a bachelors degree or similar (preferably in ecommerce) combined with eight years of job-related experience. You will need a proven understanding of ecommerce within the travel industry and will have good knowledge and first-hand experience of key direct sales channels. Frontline sales experience in a direct and field environment is also required along with commercial management experience with significant revenue accountability.

You will need to be fluent (written and spoken) in English to perform this role.
