The Cuban Hospital is a member of Hamad Medical Corporation. The Hospital is a 75 bedded community general Hospital and a joint project between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Cuba. It is located 75 kilometers away from the Doha city on the west coast of Qatar near the town of Dukhan. The Hospital is staffed and clinical services provided exclusively by the Medical Professionals from Cuba. Administration is managed by Multinational team.

The Assistant Director of Health Information Management assists in achieving the goals and objectives established for the Health Information Management department by promoting and coordinating medical records functions and maintaining the established policies and procedures within the mission and objectives of the organization. The incumbent also is responsible to support and facilitate the quality improvement efforts within the department and adhere to and support the compliance to the relevant accreditation standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Records / Health Information Management /Equivalent.
- 5+ years in medical records, with 2 years coding experience in a hospital or multidisciplinary clinical setting in a standard driven environment.

Certification/ Licensure/ Registration:
Professional Certification is preferred (from the home country’s medical records association/organization)

Computer Skills:
Strong MS Office skills including MS_Word and MS_Excel are required. Clinical documentation systems experience and CERNER experience is a plus.

Language Skills:
Good command over English (Oral and written). Arabic and Spanish is desirable
