Duct Shop Manager

Job description / Role

Our client is a leading Qatari construction company who are currently looking to recruit a Duct Shop Manager with at least 10 years experience in production and installation of GI ducts and associated accessories.

The role will include the following:
- To manage a total workforce of around 50 including 10 staff and 40 skilled labor including periodical recruitment of new staff and labor; training programs for new recruits , yearly assessments etc.. day to day HR issues
- To manage the technical department of the factory consisting of Mechanical Engineer and Cad operators/Data entry clerks involved in preparation of production drawings , Quantity Takeoffs, Planning, preparation of cost estimates and quotations to customers
- To manage the production in the factory ; familiarity with Duct Production Machinery, Maintenance and Productivity tools
- To manage the Factory Store including Stock levels, material requisitions, deliveries to Customers
- Directing and monitoring the outside sales effort including meetings with potential customers, timely replies to Requests for Quotations
- Coordinating and attending meetings with Project Managers/ Customer Representatives for Timely - Deliveries of Material and other technical issues
- Preparation of Invoices to Customers.

Requirements

Candidates must have a degree in mechanical or production engineering and should have at least 10 years experience in the production and installation of GI ducts and associated accessories. Candidates must have managerial experience and should have worked previously in the GCC region. Candidates must be fluent in Arabic.
