Employment: Full Time

New Vacancy - Economic Advisor – Doha, Qatar

Role

• Provide support and guidance on Economic and Monetary Policies, Objectives, and Reporting Methods. Also required to conduct Research and Analysis, and provide Evidence Based Recommendations.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide Advice based on Research and Analysis
• Review and Provide Feedback on Reports and Analysis
• Provide Feedback on Monetary Policy and Exchange Rate Policy Inputs
• Conduct Theoretical and Empirical Research on various Economic Areas including Fiscal, Real, External, Money, and Prices
• Forecast Key Macroeconomic Variable for both Long and Short Term Outlook
• Provide Recommendations to the Director of Department to develop, and implement Procedures and Regulations
• Review the Regular and Irregular Reports
• Assist in performing Studies and Researches requested by the Director on various matters
• Provide Guidance on Methods for Work and Reporting
• Provide Advice and Recommendation to support in the decision making process
• Conduct Analysis and Recommendations based on results
• Contribute to the development of Reports and Databases
• Attend and contribute to International and Local Forums, Workshops, and Seminars
• Participate in the preparation of Electronic Management Systems
• Conduct Workshops, Mentoring, and Training for Colleagues
• Perform any other relevant tasks assigned by the Director

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Masters Business Administration or Economics
• PHD in related field Economics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy (preferred)
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Banking or Economic sector
• Experience working in Central Banks, Monetary Authority, International Monetary Funds, and/or International Banks
• Demonstrated experience Advising and Developing Monetary and Economic Policies
• Strong skills, including Drafting Letters, Writing Reports and Proposals
• Demonstrated experience in Analysis, and Economic Research
• Demonstrated experience in Guiding and Training others
• Ability to work in a team and independently
• Strong attention to detail and Analytical skills
• Strong communications skills including Presentations and Proposals
• Knowledge of Office Programs and Electronic Systems related to the work
• Ability to take Accountability and work under pressure
