Job description / Role

We have tremendous experience working with architects, interior design firms, engineers, developers and clients in the public and private sectors for Interior fit-out works. This experience is what drives our performance in various situation that helps achieve perfection in all our endeavors.

We are looking for experienced Electrical and Mechanical Estimators to assist us in pricing & finalizing the technical & commercial offers to the clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pricing of Mechanical/Electrical works independently
• Preparation of Mechanical/ Electrical Bill of Quantity (BOQ) based on assumptions for design and build projects / tender drawing & Specification includes all works.
• Quantity take off from tender drawing.
• Knowledge in initial review of tender documents including scope of works, condition of contract, contract documents, specification and design drawing.
• Preparation of tender documentation queries to consultants/clients to confirm and collect any missing data.
• Ensure full coordination between all other disciplines/trades has been carried out for all external and internal MEP services.
• Preparation of cost estimation for all works (Mechanical/Electrical) and pricing, rate buildup of materials, labour, plants and other misc.
• Floating enquiries and getting quotations from suppliers/ subcontractors.
• Clarifications to the suppliers/subcontractors to enable them to quote.
• Comparison of quotations from different suppliers / Subcontractors.
• Attend the price negotiation meeting with the subcontractors.
• Maintain and update of approved subcontractor/supplier database.
• Corresponding with consultants/authorities regarding the specification/ technical and BOQ any difference to tender requirements and raise queries for clarification.
• Coordination with design, planning, procurement and other necessary dept. for necessary documents required for the submission.
• Site visits and assessments of existing site conditions.
• Attend the tender clarification meeting with clients.
• Preparation of tender prequalification item, like list of subcontractors/supplier, cash flow chart, machinery/ equipment list etc.
• Identify and claim the variations to the client.

Requirements

Skills:

• Bachelors in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/BSc in QS / HD in QS
• Minimum 48 years’ experience in MEP estimation in a Company.
• Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the Interior Fit Out industry
• Knowledge of working with MEP based project as a estimator
• Good Experience in AUTO CAD/MS Office and CCS (Candy) would be preferred but not essential.
• Ability to recognize contractual obligations of company, client and its subcontractors.
• Good knowledge in detailed shop drawing, coordination drawings.
• Able to act on own initiative and proactive way.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Driving License is an added advantage
