Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading contracting company. They are currently recruiting an Electrical ELV Design Engineer to work in Qatar.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for chairing coordination meetings with the contractors to ensure that the intended design is implemented.
- Responsible for regular site visits to ensure installation standard is satisfactory.
- Liaison and coordination with all applicable Local Authority Departments to obtain approval at all stages of the project.
- Assisting and coordinating with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical design teams in maintaining design quality and project schedule with respect to Communications, Life Safety and Automated Systems.

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Construction (MEP Division) field.
- Must be experienced in design of Commercial & Residential Building ELV Systems and supervises a team of Electrical Draftsmen.
- Required computer skills include: MSOffice, and Auto CAD.
- Must have experience to review specifications and design of the project and prepare shop drawings for Fire Alarm, Structural Cabling,Telecom Data & WLAN System, IPTV System, CCTV and AC System, AV and BGM Systems.
- Should have experience to evaluate offers from subcontractors and should coordinate and follow up all necessary technical requirement during the job with them.
- Good Knowledge in MOI, NFPA, Civil defense and KAHRAMA requirements.
- Carry out spot checks to ensure quality of ongoing works are as per project requirement.
- Raising RFI for discrepancies and possible variations.
- Prepare the systems for Testing & Commissioning activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- UPDA & QCDD certificates required.
