Job description / Role
- Carry out design for electrical and low current systems
- Handling facility handover, refurbishment/ modification projects and minor new works
- Co-ordinate and supportQuantity Surveyor for material takeoffs
- Assess the current condition of electrical and other essential facilities and equipment
- Review O&M manuals to ensure all electrical and low current services are maintained as per manufacturer guidelines and international standards
- Maintain awareness of all potential risks to the facility, day to day objectives and progress of the works
- Analysis of commercial risks due to delays as well as employee performance
- Monitoring 3rd party performance in particular PQP's and QHSE plans
- Review submittals by tenants/ subcontractors to ensure compliance to facility operation processes, Qatar Authority guidelines and international standards
- Government department liaison for statutory issues
- Support development, implementation and testing of emergency response plans, disaster recovery plans and business continuity plans
- Monitoring and evaluation of facilities for identification of cost reduction initiatives
- Coordinate and finalize incident reports
- Reporting on plant condition, KPI status , benchmarking and corrective/ preventative actions
- Attend and chair respective operational meetings
- Identification and recommendation of training needs
- Reporting as required on a regular basis
- Review of payment certificates in line with the contract requirements along with all supporting documents
Reporting to: Technical Manager
Travel requirements: Occasional travel with in Qatar as per business requirements
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
- 10 years experience in construction, fit outs and operations for commercial properties and malls
