Job description / Role
• Lead and supervise electrical in?house and outsourced contractor teams in maintenance related activities.
• Carryout quality inspections on all assigned jobs.
• Monitor electrical maintenance jobs during shutdowns/break downs to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Check completed work to ensure conformity to specifications and quality.
• Plan and prepare periodical preventative maintenance schedule.
• Develop sectional craft quality manuals, training manuals, preventive maintenance manuals and other quality standard documentation.
• Review and advice on electrical engineering requirements and drawings in order to improve service delivery.
• Assist in preparation of Annual Budgets when requested; monitor and control maintenance costs
• Liaise with client departments and customers.
• Formulate planned and unplanned preventive maintenance schedules, strategies, procedures, methods and checklists.
• Prepare technical analysis reports to be submitted to the client through the Facilities Supervisor on major repetitive equipment failures and recommended suitable actions to minimize or eliminate recurrence of the problems.
• Oversee the trouble?shooting of complex electrical problems and failures by working closely with the electrical in-house and outsourced contractor teams whenever required.
• Organize daily inspection routine in order to check and update ongoing corrective and preventative maintenance works.
• Carryout stage and final inspection of repair jobs done by outsourced contractors.
• Installation of new machines and equipment.
• Respond to all Electrical emergency and unplanned problems and repair situations.
• Estimate maintenance costs and evaluate available alternatives to have the works carried out within the budget limits.
• Work with and install single phase / three phase electrical circuits
• Request for tools, equipment and consumable supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair.
Requirements
• Educational: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Certification: UPDA, QCDD (Qatar Civil Defense Dept.), CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist).
• Minimum experience: 3-year experience in a similar electrical role in an industrial environment.
• Area of experience required: Must have knowledge and experience with facilities operations and maintenance practices and procedures.
