Environmental Specialist / Team Leader

Job description / Role

Purpose: To design, implement and supervise environmental projects in a diversity of fields with specific emphasis on air quality management; to analyze and interpret raw data generated from field investigations in scientifically sound manner; to prepare scientific technical reports and project- based documents; to communicate activities and findings to client through meetings and presentations.

Job Duties
- Investigate, measure, and evaluate environmental conditions and execute relevant research, development, planning, design, advisory, and related activities.
- Use established universal protocols to plan, design and implement environmental surveys, field investigations and environmental sampling.
- Develop and write scientific technical reports, progress reports, project safety reports, and other documents of relevance.
- Use statistical methods to analyze and interpret raw data and to make sound conclusions and recommendations based on collected field observations.
- To supervise the team during on-site sampling , auditing and monitoring activities
- To design and implement ambient air quality monitoring programs.
- To carry out relative accuracy test audits of continuous emissions monitoring systems using established USEPA protocols.

Requirements

- BSc from accredited university with a major in environmental, physical, chemical or other science related field. MSc in environmental related field is a plus.
- Total of 4-6 years of experience working on a diversity of environmental projects.
- Working expertise in ambient air quality monitoring and relative accuracy test audits of continuous emissions monitoring systems.
- Working expertise in air pollution modelling using AERMOD or other air dispersion modeling software is a plus.
- Ability to evaluate and interpret data in statistical and narrative forms.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive scientific technical reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
- MS office skills.
- Safety certificates is a must
- Ability to manage teams on-site is a must.
- Experience in oil and gas sector is a plus.
- Accredited professional certificates in project management, environment…etc. is a plus.
- Air Modeling is a plus
