Equipment Technician

Job description / Role

• Perform repairs and maintenance duties on cleaning equipment.
• Carry out periodic inspection, cleaning and equipment servicing.
• Understand technical manuals for equipment operations and maintenance.
• Provide assistance and job trainings to workers when needed.
• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with other maintenance workers and staff to effectively provide solution to maintenance problems.
• Maintain inventory control of equipment, tools and spares.
• Proper documentation of equipment services and repairs for future reference procedures.
• Analyse root causes of equipment failures for corrective actions.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision and take responsibility for the repairs of assigned equipment.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English (written and oral skills).
• 2 to 5 years experience with electrical and engine equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical practices, theory and safety.
• Familiar with work order management system to complete work request.
• Profound knowledge in servicing petrol and diesel engine driven equipment.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision and take responsibility for the repairs of assigned equipment.
• Valid driving license (preferred)
