Estimating Manager - MEP - Leading International Contractor - Qatar

Due to the development of a new position within this well established International Contractor, they are looking for an MEP Senior Estimator/Estimating Manager to manage the related processes internally on some of their major D&B projects.

Key Duties:
- Take off and verification of MEP BOQ’s issued by Clients design consultant.
- Sending out, obtaining and adjudicating of material quotations from the supply chain.
- Verification of specifications received with tender documentation.
- Preparation of detailed estimates (knowledge of CCS would be considered an advantage).
- Adjudication of MEP subcontract quotations.
- Preparation of MEP specifications and BOQ’s for Design and Build tenders, with the view of estimating the project “in-house” or obtaining quotations from the supply chain.
- Creating and maintaining a master BOA of typical MEP items.
- Investigate feasibility in terms of self-performing certain items within MEP trade.

Requirements

An English speaking candidate with Middle Eastern experience would be preferred although experience in Qatar would be beneficial as knowledge of the local M&E supply chain would be an advantage.

Candidate should be proficient in following MEP trades: Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, ELV and BMS.

Minimum 10 years Main Contracting/MEP Sub contracting experience.
